Bearing Temperature Sensors

Bearing sensors are designed to monitor the temperature of bearings on large rotating plant. The temperature is a critical indication of the status of a bearing which affects machine performance. Monitoring the temperature permits early indication of changes and allows planned maintenance, improved performance and prevents long downtimes.

• Journal bearing pedestals.

The range of embedded miniature bearing sensors (MBS) are available in RTD and thermocouple versions and allow installation into a small space enabling a rapid response. The range of cap sizes assist various mounting methods and leads are available with additional design features such as oil seal barriers or wire seal glands to prevent oil migrating along the sensor leads.

The larger SBS range is available in many configurations and custom builds and allows a quick a simple installation as close to the bearing surface as possible.
