Optris® CT Pyrometer
The Optris® CT range of infra red pyrometers has a very small sensor head allowing use in restricted areas. All CT devices have a separate electronics box with easy access programming keys and LCD backlit display, so in-situ programming and viewing of temperature measurement are possible.
A wide range of analogue and digital output choices are available including:
- Analog Output: 4-20mA, 0-5V, 0-10V, thermocouple type K or J
- Digital Output: USB, RS485, RS232 interface, relay outputs, CAN-Bus, Profibus DP, Ethernet
Please see datasheets in resources for full technical specifications, and for accessories.
Optris®CT LT / CTex LT One of the smallest infrared sensors on the market, with an M12 x 28mm head, and able to withstand 180°C without additional cooling. CTex LT version with Zenor barriers for ATEX applications (see datasheet for certification)
Example Application: Surveillance of surface temperatures during lamination processes in vehicle interiors, In the plastics industry, for temperature regulation during thermoforming of foils, circuit board manufacturing.
Optris®CTfast As well as a very small head (M12 x 28mm), this version has a fast response time of 6ms (90% of signal) which makes it ideal for measuring the temperature of fast processes.
Example Application: production of glass syringes to ensure adherence of needle to syringe, PET bottle production, paper industry for measurement of printing machines and paper.
Optris®CThot The head can withstand up to 250°C without additional cooling.
Example Application: Driers and ovens, metal and glass tempering, plastics and textile processing, semiconductor production.
Optris®CT 1M/2M Short wavelengths of 1.0 and 1.6 micron for measurement of metals, metal oxides and ceramics across a wide range of temperatures. Short wavelengths reduce error of reading on materials with unknown emissivity.
Example Application: metallic surfaces in metal processing (e.g. welding, sintering) as well as metal oxides and ceramics in temperatures of up to 2,200°C.
Optris®CT 3M Wavelength of 2.3 microns for low temperature measurements of metals, metal oxides and ceramics, from 50°C to 1800°C
Example Application: Temperature profile measurement of metal parts after thermal processing eg drive shafts, measuring materials through glass/plastic tubes in research labs, in metal working processes, presence detection of heated blanks.
Optris®CT 4M a very fast exposure with a response time of 0.3ms (90% of signal) which makes it ideal for measuring the temperature of fast processes from 0 to 500°C
Example Application: measurement of metals, metal oxides, ceramics or materials with unknown or changing emissivity, in very fast processes.
Optris®CT G5 Wavelength of 5 microns for measurement of glass
Example Application: flat-glass lines, container glass machines, lightbulb production and vehicle glass production, production of solar cells.
Optris®CT P3 Wavelength 3.43 microns for thin plastic films
Example Application: thin film production polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP) and polystyrene (PS).
Optris®CT P7 Wavelength 7.9 microns for thin plastic films
Example Application: production of thin plastic foils, polyurethane (PU), polyether sulfone (PES), polyethylene terephthalate (PET), teflon (PTFE) or cellulose triacetate (CTA).
